We're thrilled to announce that Brandon Wong is joining the Future of Faith team as an Associate Researcher. Brandon's immense experience and even bigger heart make him an ideal fit to help us carry out our internal and client-based research projects.
Brandon graduated from Pepperdine University in 2022 with degrees in psychology and religion. Since then, he’s served as a Research Intern with Springtide Research Institute and, most recently, worked as a Research Project Coordinator at Search Institute. While at Springtide, Brandon helped shape their flagship 2023 State of Religion and Young People Report, examining how today’s young people are engaging with the Sacred in diverse ways both within and beyond traditional religious spaces and practices.
At Search, he oversaw two grant projects centered around how to support spiritual thriving and cultivate character development, racial equity, and developmental relationships. Brandon’s personal research interests revolve broadly around the psychology of spirituality and religion. He is particularly invested in ongoing conversations around spiritual and religious struggles, spiritual and religious coping, and religious “deconstruction” and disaffiliation. Outside of work, Brandon can be found coaching, playing, or watching volleyball; jamming out at a concert; or making the most of a sunrise hike!
